Success in Life

“Once I learnt the true meaning of wisdom from a local shepherd, while I was travelling through a scorching desert”; my teacher shared his experience. “We stopped to take rest at an oasis and there I noticed my friend bending and tying one of camels front knee joint, making a four legged animal into a three legged hopper. With this maneuverability the animal could graze and walk a short distance but couldn’t go astray, for this he used a special knot of rope. On inquiring about it, he answered “this knot is called AQAL (intelligence or wisdom)”. Surprised I asked “ wisdom?”, “Yes” he replied. After a pause, he continued “ the knot is called AQAL (wisdom) a restrain that precludes the animal from getting lost, the true etymology of word AQAL”. Then I realized, wisdom does not mean losing  self-control, rather its more precise, fine tuning of mind, soul, and body according to basic moral ethics and provides guidelines for patience, complete submission and surrender to the will of master.

Definitely wisdom is a gift given to mankind, for mastering life skills and all wise people utilize this  limited time of this worldly life for eternal success. If you look around, everyone is in a hurry and is trying their best to do well. Nobody wants to lose or slowdown in this competition, but have you ever thought about what real success in life means? How one becomes successful? Who exactly is a successful person?

There are various answers, success could be simply money, power, and fame in this world but for intelligent, spiritually enlightened, and successful people it’s inner peace, contentment, and happiness. In fact both terms of successful or a good person could be interchangeable as a good human is a successful person and a successful person is a good human. If you notice, some people are more contented and happier as compared to others. Do they have something special in them or they have some extra ordinary qualities? Obviously, there are certain personality characteristics which make them special. Let’s see how many of these qualities you have? or how can we modify our self?

The most precise formula of success is composed of four components :

Have Faith
Humans are the only adaptable species who have inherent biological behavior of diversity which is totally different  to any other species. Faith in one God promotes same beliefs, harmony and unity which lays down foundations of a stable society. All successful people have a blind faith in the  supreme power of all the worlds. They do not rely on anything or anybody, love their creator and his creations and follow his instructions with complete submissiveness.

Act Benevolent
The main purpose of all the spiritual and philosophical religions is to give a guideline of spending a purposeful life by maintaining a balance in religious and social aspects; and form a society based on laws of justice. All successful humans spend their lives according to set rules and regulations and follow the right path, not because they are afraid of repercussions but they don’t want to lose the love of God. They listen to first call of heart and act according to God’s commands, live a simple peaceful life and also make a difference for others with their life.

Being a Mentor
All successful individuals are highly committed, honest, and intelligent leaders, who are courageous to stand out for truth, justice and never give up. They are naturally empowered with excellent communication skills and ability to inspire others. Have deep insight and can guide people to right track. Their ability to take challenges in life makes them persistent, and hardworking; therefore they get best results. They are polite, pleasant, and kindhearted, free from impurities of hatred and revenge rather offering full of unconditional love for everyone. They are good listeners, feel pain of others and stand alongside during hardships to help without a second thought.

Practice Patience
Successful people are always content and grateful for all the blessings; they never complain about discomforts or sufferings and always move on in life. They take all the challenges and difficulties  of this temporary worldly life as their tests to differentiate them from others. They believe that hardships are blessings in disguise so they are hopeful and wait for favorable circumstances as they know that dawn is born at mid-night.

REMEMBER, this life is too short and should not be wasted for trivial things. The simplest formula of a having a successful life is strong faith, unconditional love, and kindness for others.
