FOSTERING AN UNCONDITIONAL LOVE: An Ultimate Remedy
Do you know that your soul and body are interlinked? The soul is affected first and later the body acquires the disease. It’s our aura that becomes weak and susceptible to the effects of negative thoughts, bitter and painful memories, anger and frustration, revenge and hatred, worries and sorrows, regrets and hopelessness, resentment and guilt, jealousy and envy, pride and prejudice. All of them tear apart our souls and our bodies. Similarly, the inability to forget and forgive, inability to let go and closing door of past, impatience, intolerance, resentment, lack of gratitude all starts our bodies resulting in disabilities, diseases, decreased life expectancy and even death.
It is a fact that diseases are caused by germs but susceptibility to acquire them increases when body’s defense mechanism or immune system is not working efficiently. You will be surprised to hear that in my experience I have seen patients of autoimmune disorders like SLE (systemic lupus erythematous), Myasthenia Gravis, Rheumatoid arthritis, Diabetes Mellitus, high blood pressure, Hepatitis B and C, chronic liver disease, renal diseases and even cancer patients feeling better and coming out of their illness, when in addition to medical treatment, they cleanse their heart from all negativities. Among majority of patients, when after medical problem history their social, personal and family history was taken and they were evaluated psychologically, it is seen they were also having negative thoughts and emotions, which were also contributing to the problems.
Stress: A Wave of Destruction
An explosion has pressure waves destroying everything that comes its way, similar is with stress and tensions. When we have internal or external stressful condition, our body releases cortisol (steroids) for fear, fight or flight. We are prepared to deal with it by becoming extra sensitive and alert, increase in heart rate and blood-pressure, musculoskeletal system also becomes very active. The biochemical and hormonal changes also occur, if this continues for long duration then steroids start suppressing our immunity and this mechanism backfires, our body starts self-destruction programmed by producing chemicals (antibodies) and activating Natural killer cells and it also becomes vulnerable to external and internal injurious substances.
Negativity: A Venom
All the negative unrealistic thoughts disturb crucial balance of chemicals in brain (endorphins), like Serotonin, Dopamine, Acetylcholine; there is nerve cell damage and decreased nerve cell growth which results in shrinkage of brain areas controlling our emotions and healthy behavior, all this results in depression and mood disorders.
Problems Associated with Negativity
These biochemical changes in body and are associated with certain symptoms and are also associated with following diseases. Pessimistic and overly sensitive people usually complain of generalized body aches and pains, weakness, lethargy, headaches, migraine, itching .They have acidity, ulcers and stomach problems, joints swelling, stiffness and pains and allergies. Similarly the risk of acquiring psychological problems such as depression, anxiety, Schizophrenia and psychosis also increases.
It’s true a Grieved Heart is a Diseased Heart, depression makes heart more prone to disease, heart attack, and decreases life expectancy.
Degenerative nervous tissues diseases, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinsonism, Huntington’s disease, Multiple sclerosis, Stroke, Endocrine disturbances, Thyroid disorders, Diabetes Mellitus, Auto immune disorders, Systemic Lupus erythematosus (SLE), Myasthenia gravis, Graves disease, Viral infections, AIDS, Hepatitis, Tumors and Cancers
How Can We Heal Ourselves?
The only true answer to negativity is positivity; positivity of unconditional love for self and for other, kindness and forgiveness, hope and contentment, appreciation and inspiration, joy and enthusiasm, are a few of the suggestions to overcome negativity.
Unconditional Love: Positivity Booster
It is the most powerful inner healing force, vital for physical, psychological, spiritual well-being and inner peace that can embrace all the pain, misery and wounds of soul and body. It is the acceptance and love for self and for others, regardless of unrealistic expectations, appearance and behavior. It is the journey from I, Me and My to Our, Them and Theirs. It is making yourself zero and others hero, developing a sense of responsibility, respect and sacrifice for others can dislike the certain personality characteristics but we should not hate the person.
Forgive Others and Yourself
There are so many people who were treated cruelly by people and then they develop hatred, anger and desire to take revenge from all the responsible people. It is true that wounds of soul are very painful and take years to heal as compared to physical injuries, but how can we speed up their healing and improve our physical and spiritual healing? The easiest way is FORGIVENESS, which truly means, accepting that a bad incident has happened and now overcome its effects. You need to cleanse your heart from impurities and negativeness of anger, revenge, hatred, self-pity and regrets. Delete all the bad memories and forgive all of them, and make yourself light and free from all worries. It will improve your mental, physical and spiritual well-being. It seems difficult but not impossible, if you really give it a try, you will get amazing results. It has been proven through various researches, that ailments get better, medical treatments become more effective, life expectancy and survival rate increase, we change ourselves and come out of turmoil of negativity.
Submission and Surrender
You should have a very clear concept of the fact, that we have no control on our short mortal lives, our path is already decided then why to worry about trivial things and waste time in negativity? wouldn’t it be easier to change ourselves by complete submission and surrender in front of our Almighty Creator, keeping aside our pride and superiority or inferiority complexes. We are in distress because we want everything that seems suitable to us, if something happens against it , then trouble starts. Life would be more convenient if we accept that each and every turn in life is some blessing in disguise, we don’t know it then, but realize it afterwards. It can change the whole prospect of life and create positivity. The famous scholar Rumi said, “acceptance is the doorway to healing, the moment you accept what troubles have been given, the door opens”. It does not mean that we should not try our best but it imbibes the concept of putting in your full effort and then leaving the result on our Almighty Creator.
Close the Door of Past
I have seen so many people living in their painful past, remembering and recalling it unintentionally, making it impossible to heal the wounds of harsh words and bitter memories. They don’t realize that past is gone forever, they can’t correct it, nobody knows the future, so it’s better to live today and plan for that day only and not to worry about future problems. It’s better if we try to delete all the painful past, accept the present and try for a better future.
It’s true that it is pretty hard to let go of what happened before but in time wounds WILL heal and you’ll later on realize that it was one of the things that helped you become a much better person.
Gratitude
Can you count your blessings? NO! It’s nearly impossible, but problems are countable, so always be grateful for what you have. Remember, nothing lasts for forever, you should be thankful and live every moment of life as if it’s your last and there should be no regrets. The feeling of gratitude gives that inner peace which all the comforts in the world can’t. There are always more things to be grateful for than not.
I hope this post will help change your perspective on life’s adversities.
